Digital cinema cameras

Arri’s D20 camera, Captures images using a single CMOS sensor that has an active picture area equivalent to 35mm PL-mount lens will work on this camera. Arri’s D20 uses the same rotating mirror shutter and optical view finder designs found in its film cameras. HD lenses designed for three CCD prism based imagers will not work on the D20. To capture color images using a monochrome CMOS sensor, the light from the lens passes through red, green and blue filters arranged in a Bayer pattern mask before striking the pixels on the CMOS sensor.
